Inspiration from Unexpected Places

One of the great things about cardmaking is that even the non-stampers can get involved! My girlfriend brought me this label from a bottle of wine, thinking that it would be great inspiration for a card. She was absolutely right!

I used the solid tree from "Season of Friendship", embossed in gold. I cut the panel so that all the branches would reach an edge, leaving me a spot to colour with copics. You just have be carefu not to colour over the embossingl, because copic ink has alcohol in it and will take the shine off!

  7. Your card has a stained glass feel to it again, Ardyth! SO beautiful and a nail on that cool inspiration label!

(I'm jealous that you have a room that allows you to move the furniture. My house doesn't and it's something that I used to love doing back in the Days Before the Wheel when we lived in apartments. You feel like you've moved w/o all the trouble! But, yes, it does uncover spots that haven't seen a clean in a while!)

I'm thinking that if the winery saw your label, their label would be off the bottle and out the door in a second!
